ERRFC Minis were hosted by Tottonians last Sunday. As always, we were warmly welcomed and soon got down to business playing some games with Tottonians U7's.
After some defensive line work, we split the kids across two pitches, with Tottonians and ERRFC mixed in teams. Mixing the kids up didn't phase anyone, they all just got on with playing rugby and having a great time. As coaches, it was really nice to see our kids playing better than they did at New Milton, with tries being scored left, right and centre and hardly a forward pass to be seen. Top stuff!
This weekend we're back at PBL and will be visited by London Irish. One of their coaches, a couple of players and Digger the mascot will be joining us, and hopefully joining in with our games. Last year, the kids absolutely loved this visit and it seemed to inspire a lot of them - it inspired a few parents (and coaches) too.
We will soon be expanding on our development plan, so expect an email sometime soon from Andy explaining what it's all about.
Until Sunday.
