Unfortunately, we didn't have enough numbers to travel to New Milton, but were very pleased that a nice morning and home venue encouraged more players out for a session.
After a mad warm up, we practised side-steps some more and developed this using people to trick instead of the less responsive plastic cones. Some got it, and some really got it!
During match practice, it was to see the fancy footwork continue as they attempted to run in some tries - I say attempted as there were some pretty solid defensive lines in place!
The final game of Bulldog saw some sidestepping and dodging too - they really got it :-)
For his great footwork and excellent effort, and keeping his tags until the final Bulldog run, this week Scarey trophy went to Toby Whetstone - well done Toby!
As well as overall effort and performance, one player started to show their team spirit on the pitch, helping and encouraging their team mates - quite a simple trophy award for Oliver Leamon - well done Ollie!!
Don't forget, it's half term so we're having a weekend off - don't come this Sunday unless you fancy cutting the grass :-)
We'll be back on March 1st, when we'll be joined by Tottonians - it should be a great morning! Hopefully, we'll be using our bigger and better pitch from then, so if we're not in front of the club house, we'll be on the top left corner of Pitch 1.
Enjoy your lie in!
