Very bright!!

I usually take this opportunity to rave about how well the kids played, and how good they're getting at passing etc. While that is perfectly true for Sunday's session, I'd like to rave about our volunteers for a change!

Now we're in our new pitch with plenty of space around us, it's great for me as head coach to stand back a bit and watch the kids play so we can plan what needs working on next week. It also allows me to see how well our coaching team are getting on, and how well the kids interact and respond to them too.

Alan, Duncan and Tom were doing an excellent job of running the practise matches and guiding the kids as and when required. And our latest volunteer, Andy Cutler, was diving in getting some refereeing experience just a week after his ref's course (Alan, Duncan and Tom also attended the ref's course so we're pretty well covered there!).

And we can't forget to mention Jo and all her team management behind the scenes; she keeps us all organised!!

As we split into our new U7's and U8's groups for next season, it's really nice to think we have some confident volunteers who the kids get on with. We're certainly in safe hands going forward!

Anyway, back to the kids! More sidestepping, passing while running and match practise - all good stuff!

Leo did some great running and sidestepping - even eyeballing the coaches during the process. This earned him the Scarey trophy; well done Leo!

And for doing well in all the drills, and playing some great rugby, this week's Bowl Trophy winner was Ethan - well done Ethan!
