Another session on the astroturf...

While using the astroturf keeps us going through the really bad weather, it can cramp us a little with the restricted space. Having devised a session plan to reinforce two of the main principles of rugby, team play and going forwards, it’s not always helpful when you get a much smaller space to work in than usual. However, the kids coped with it really well, and hats off to them for knuckling down and getting stuck in.

It’s not ideal playing 8-a-side, but this didn’t stop lots of running with the ball and tries being scored - and plenty of tags being taken.

As we have to clear the pitch so quickly, we can’t really do trophies while at the Rec. This is probably a good thing for last Sunday as so many of the kids played really well and advanced their skills, it would have been incredibly difficult to single a couple out for trophies. Well done, one and all!!

This coming Sunday, we’re at Fordingbridge for a joint training session. We’ll confirm timings asap.
