vs Wimborne

I know we’re not supposed to be competitive in U7’s, but it’s always great to see how our kids match up against other clubs! Our visitors from Wimborne RFC were a great bunch, and entered into the spirit of the game and got down to playing some good rugby. It didn’t faze them to be mixed in with our players - and our boys and girls looked after them really well.

While the matches were underway, I spent some time speaking to the Wimborne coaches, who were very complimentary of our little rugby players and commented on how good our ball handling was, and how well disciplined we were in our attacking and defending. Always good to hear :)

There were some great performances, and it was really hard to pick trophy winners this week, with lots of names in the hat as possible winners. But, we need to pick two, so;

Nehe Milner-Scarey: With a great performance of running, team play and doing really well across the board, this week Scarey goes to Harry. Well done, Harry!

Trophy: There were lots of tries being scored, but this young man seemed to be on fire, running into space, jinking around defenders, and drawing particular interest from the Wimborne coaches. This week’s trophy winner was Robert. Well done, Robert!!

We have some tournaments on the horizon, so we will all be able to put these skills against other clubs in true competitive rugby over the coming weeks. More details on these very soon :)
