U8s Plate Winners at Bournemouth

Finally the weather has allowed us to play rugby and some wonderful rugby it was.
The U8s had 2 teams entered, the Blues and the Quarters.
For the Quarters it was their first tournament experience and they had no subs so it was going to be tough. They played with great commitment, huge amounts of team spirit and massive amounts of fun. They did not progress from the League but they were knackered. What more could be done.
For the Blues the prospect of a tough League beckoned. They were a little rusty to start with but soon started to get into the team rhythm. Losses to the eventual Cup and Shield winners meant we were fighting for the Plate. Everyone gave their all with no complaints and we ran out winners in the Plate final against Romsey.
As coaches it was a perfect tournament display to finish off a season.
The squad has come on massively since the beginning of the season and it is wonderful to see them all charging along together.
