Early bird catches the push pass...

To help as many kids as possible train, we took the unusual step of starting at 9am. This gave all our Cubs, Beavers, Scouts etc the opportunity to train before heading off for their Remembrance Day duties.

This also highlighted why the RFU say 60 minutes per day at U8 - some if them were on their knees by the end!

It's time to start improving their core skills again now we've had some post-New Milton downtime, so more accurate and longer passing was the name of the game. A vital skill on our seemingly huge U8 pitch. Push passing seemed to work with some even sticking their tongues out they were concentrating so hard - great to see!

Then back in the lanes to promote teamwork - and mean old coach was on hand to stop any backchat and try to stop some from hogging all the ball. We got there - they all did great!!

So, to the trophies.

Tagtastic.
Not only was this week's winner taking some great tags, but they never gave in and chased runners right to the try line. This week Tagtastic goes to Joey. Well done, Joey!

Scarey.
Scarey wasn't himself this week. His ankle injury got worse and finally gave way seeing Scarey become separated from his home - or base. The separation didn't seem to worth this week's winner, who did some amazing runs, handled everything we three at him and even laughed when we tried to blame him for breaking the trophy. All taken in perfect spirit; well done, Will!!

It's great watching all the kids playing together and having fun, while learning new rugby moves, and interpersonal life skills at the same time. This week's winner hasn't been playing long - a few weeks of coaching at school then a few weeks with us, but you'd think he'd been playing for years. Well done to one of our newbies. Well done, Harry (M)!!
