Oakmedians Festival - Runners Up again!!

The last Festival of the season, and nice to finish at a relaxed (and local) event at Oakmedians. It was also nice to play a few new teams too; it's always good to play Fordingbridge and our other neighbours, but a chance to match ourselves against the likes of Bridport and Windsor was very welcome!

As well as Oaks being a relaxed event, it was also nice to think we had picked our team based on who was available and wanted to go. Not pointing any fingers or saying anything untoward, but one of our opponents has 70 kids in U8's, and they'd picked their 'best 12' to come and play. Not the E&R Minis way...

From a coaching point of view, it was great to see how well all the kids played, with everyone playing their part to help the team win four of their matches, with the only loss being by a single try (and no detriment to our team on the day, but that was a 'best' team versus an 'available' team). Some may not have scored tries, but they'd put a teammate into space with the ball for them to score, or pulled a try-saving Tag. A great team effort all round!
