ERRFC make it 2 wins from 2 this weekend over New Milton - Following the 1XV win yesterday the Colts follow it up with a win today

ERRFC Colts took on local rivals New Milton today in their first league game of the season. Following the 1XV win over the same club yesterday the Colts were hoping for a similar result today.
ERRFC got off to a flying start with wing Aiden Holmes crossing in the corner after a sweeping attack across the backline which ran outside the NM defence. Ellingham continued to exert pressure on NM try line and sustained pressure resulted in Charles Everden crashing over for his first Colts try. The try was converted by Ollie Barrett.
New Milton came back from the early onslaught by Ellingham and started to make in roads into the Ellingham defence eventually resulting in a try near the posts which was converted.
Half time 12-7 to Ellingham
Ellingham again got off to a flier in the second half, with only a few minutes gone Ben Price crossed in the corner to extend Ellingham's lead, unfortunately the conversion was unsuccessful. Ellingham continued to dominate possession, but despite multiple promising attacks the home team were unable to convert it to points. New Milton scored next with a good break and multiple missed tackles resulting in a try under the posts which was duly converted. Score 17-14 to the home team. With the tension rising for both teams there continued to be some good attacks and excellent scramble defence. Ellingham scored next, a good flowing move down the backs followed by a forward rumble resulted in Charles doubling his Colts try tally with another great crash over the line!! Ollie converted to take the lead to 10. However New Milton did not give up and a powerful 40m run by their No.8 resulted in another try under the posts which was converted, lead back to 3!!
It was at this point that the Colts turned up the heat and Zach Morrish who had moved from Scrum Half to Fly Half, made an audacious switch to the left following a scrum to stroll over the try line untouched. Ollie hit his best conversion of the day from the touchline to extend the Colts lead. One final try followed from Isaac Churchill following a quick tap penalty and 2 fast rucks, Isaac crashed over under the posts and Ollie converted with the last play of the game.
Final Score 38-21 to ERRFC Colts
