Ellingham & Ringwood Women 2XV put in a commanding display in the clubs first ever women’s double fixture on home turf. They secured a 48–0 win over Millbrook in what was only their second outing as a 2s side and another proud moment in the club’s growing women’s programme.
The Ellies started with real attacking intent, spending the early minutes camped in Millbrook’s half and threatening the try line repeatedly. After a few near misses, Fearn-Maia White finally broke through in the 10th minute to open the scoring. Momentum built from there, Bryony Thompson finished superbly on the right wing before Chrissy Parsons powered under the posts, with Bryony adding the conversion.
Just before half time, Emily Snowball dotted down a brilliant team try to make it 24–0 at the break.
The second half saw the Ellies continue to dominate territory and possession. Cesca McAlinne crossed early after great build-up play, with Abbey Bevan converting. Even with a temporary yellow for Maisy Joy, the home side kept their shape and energy, adding further tries from Fearn-Maia White and a final pair in the closing minutes to complete a statement win.
It was a real squad performance, strong carries, excellent communication, and relentless pressure from start to finish.
? FOTM - Abbey Bevan, a tireless performance at No.8, leading from the front in attack and defence.
? BOTM - Bryony Thompson, creative, clinical, and composed, pulling the strings in midfield and adding key points from the tee.
