It was pretty cold Sunday morning, but we all quickly warmed up and got ready for some matches.
Digger and Coach Ali paid us a visit from London Irish; they were impressed with what they saw, both the playing skill and the attitude of the kids - all good!!
During the matches, there was lots of great running, big tags and some seriously good defence. There is still the tendency to pass to a school mate/best friend instead of the nearest player, but it's getting better and better each week - and a massive improvement from the start of the season!
Sometimes it's difficult to pick out trophy winners as the standards are so even amongst most of the kids. This week though, a couple stood out, both for their playing and for their attitude and effort levels.
Nehe Milner-Scarey went to a young man who has been trying really hard recently to play good rugby. After some hard work and excellent decision making, this week Scarey goes to Jude. Well done, Jude!!
Our trophy winner this week is a solid, consistently good performer with a great attitude and a huge smile. And I'm amazed he hasn't taken the trophy home yet this season (that's my fault, not his)! This week's well overdue trophy goes to Arthur. Well done, Arthur!!
To make sure all the kids get to play proper competitive rugby, we are looking for more tournaments to enter. More news on this very soon!
