Great start to 2014/15 season!

Wow! What a wonderful start to the 2014/15 season.

We had a great turnout of 16 players in total for the Under 9's today. Welcome back to all the players from last season, and a special welcome to the 5 new players: Koby, Alexander, Isabella, Rhys and Sam.

Hopefully everyone really enjoyed the first session, especially the introduction to contact. We'll be concentrating on developing our tackling skills over the next few weeks, as well as sharpening up our ball handling and running skills.

To parents / guardians: few reminders from the coaches for next week:

1. Player registration - please complete this as soon as possible. This is a key requirement from the RFU.
2. Mouth guards / gum shields - please ensure that your child comes equipped with a mouth guard.
3. Drinks - the children will be getting tired after doing so much running around. It's important to keep them hydrated too, so please try to bring a drink to training sessions.
4. Start times - please help your coaches in running an effective session by arriving for training a little before the start time, so we're ready to start promptly at 0930. Thanks!
5. Homework - this week's (optional) homework is for grown ups to explain the new Under 9's rugby rules to their children! There'll be a test...
