Our Under 18's Girls went down 41-15 at Oakmeadians on Sunday. A number of our senior players were not available, as they were representing London & SE against the Midlands, but this provided the opportunity for some of the less experienced squad members to enjoy game time in the sun. Emily Stott, Holly Hayhoe and Georgia England all played the whole game and they and the entire team played well against an experienced and organised Oakmeadians side.
We got off to a slow start with Oaks scoring four trys (two converted) before we got one back. Our pack was completely dominant in the set piece scrum and drove Oaks off their own ball on a number of occasions, as well as retaining our own ball. In the second half our girls got into their stride and scored two more trys. Oaks were able to bring on a number of substitutes to refresh tired legs which helped them to go over three more times including one conversion before the final whistle.
