Another outstanding performance from our U18 Girls saw them beat Trojans at home 69-5, scoring eleven tries to one.
After a strong start from Trojans saw Ellingham having to spend the first five minutes of the match defending their own try line, we eventually broke free to take the play deep into Trojans half through some great running and offloading.
As the half wore on Ellingham begin to establish their dominance and from a strong scrum platform put together a number of moves involving backs and forwards that led to a number of tries and a good half time lead.
The second half saw the Ellingham girls really cut loose with some scintillating rugby involving combined moves from backs and forwards. Trojans made life very difficult through some strong play of their own, but our girls strength and quality showed through to provide a comfortable victory in the end.
Try scorers for Ellingham were two for Maggie Hishon, two for Lydia Young, two for Alicia ‘Stumpy’ Maude and one each for Ava Seymour, Megan Renshaw, Katie Jenkins, Georgia Lang and Cerys Ralph. Georgia Lang also scored seven conversions with some great kicking.
