With a lot of influential players being away over the half term break, we knew that we were up against it when we travelled to Gillingham to play a strong North Dorset side in a friendly fixture.
However, after conceding two early tries that were converted we recovered well from 14-0 down to win 29-21.
Paige Darvill-White had an outstanding game and scored two tries in the first half that were both converted by Chriszenia Morrison.North Dorset then went on to score another converted try in the first half to give them a 21-14 lead at the break.
In the second half our defence was immense and we didn't concede a single point while scoring three tries through Erin MacDermott, Sasha Bryan and Chloe Barrett.
This game was excellent preparation for next week's important home league game against Solent Sirens.
