Our Under 15's girls unfortunately lost their top of the table clash against the Berkshire Barbarians 27-10.
Our tries were scored by Lydia Kearney and Phoebe Murray in a game against a very competent and well organised Berkshire Barbarians team. Our girls showed a great deal of courage in what was a baptism of fire for our new players - well done to Libby, Tao, Katie and Maggie. Everyone got a touch of the ball and the chance to tackle some really strong players - Izzy, Lou, Charlotte, Georgina and Evie put in some corkers. Brooke was a really useful scrum member and Lottie ran her socks off. Nice tries to Phoebe and Lydia (player of the match). Maya managed to hold off the opposition to the end. The Berkshire team were the county side and our brilliant New Forest team worked solidly to hold what could have been a tide of their tries at bay. Our girls were exhausted at the end of the match - our first real test. The team should be extremely proud.
Thanks to Caroline for superbly organising the supper arrangements and to Denise for cooking and serving. James was our excellent water boy and Mike was our fab ref. Thanks also to Abi for coming to cheer the girls on despite her injury (hurry up and get better please!) Joe was wonderful running the line - nice flag work. As always, we are incredibly grateful to Raj and Mark for cracking coaching. Thanks to Mark for taking the kit to wash this week................thanks Claire.
