Our Under 15's girl's go back to top of the league

We arrived a depleted team at Oxford this week. Sickness and injury claimed so many of our players that we ended up with only ten on the pitch at the starting whistle.

The first half saw excellent supporting play leading to 35 points being scored in the first half. Evie ran a magnificent try with Phoebe and Izzy scoring two more each. Georgina was on cracking form and kicked consistently from every angle scoring some really impressive conversions. Maggie's proliferate tackling aided the play as did Lottie's forward movement and catching. Lottie won Top Dog today - her hospital pass catch was simply awesome. Well done Lottie.

We won every scrum today. Maria debuted well at second row alongside Tao who was strong in the scrum. Phoebe earned player of the match today! She was generally brilliant at all of it :) Lou was the forward crunching player that we all expect of her and Charlotte's reliable full back skills went one step further today seeing her run with the ball to good results. Evie ran and tackled her heart out. Izzy worked with determination to get the ball over the line, the team having worked so hard to get the ball so close to the try.

Everyone got a touch of the ball today. The team were awesome! The final score line of 47 - 0 was from a hat trick of tries from Phoebe, two corkers from Evie (one of them was run from one end of the pitch to the other), and two from Izzy. All the conversions belonged to Georgina.

Well done all of you.

Thanks to our fantastic parents for getting the girls there and being so supportive. Mark was the bestest sprinty linesman today (he made me write that ). Thanks to both Mark and Raj for their commitment to coaching the team.

Our last training this year is on Wednesday from 7 to 8 - the earlier finishing time is so we can go to Framptons, Ringwood for a Christmassy hot chocolate before we go home! All are welcome. We expect all players to rock up in Festive headgear/clothing. Prizes will be given........

Training commences on January 8th at 7pm. The first game in the new year is sunday 12th January at Pulborough. Rest up and have a lovely Christmas everyone.

Festive loveliness to you all

Emma
