Soggy Sunday , Rugby Funday
Today's adventures in Rugby saw our friends from Alton come to us for for an afternoon of rugby and fun.
With the onset of some very wet weather and slightly chilly conditions the 30 odd girls got going with some fun, mixed team warm ups and games, followed by two games of touch just to make sure everyone was warm and ready to play.
After the much needed warm up the girls split into 4 teams and the contact games began.
I can only describe today's conditions as challenging and the girls took up the challenge, slippery and wet was the order of the day so there was knock ons a plenty.
Some encouraging moments of play were seen alongside the obligatory mud slams , tackles and slips.
All in all a classic muddy rugby afternoon and a big well done to the girls for getting on with it and embracing the awful weather.
Massive thank you to Alton its always a pleasure - an extra special thank you to the volunteers who sorted out the food and cleaned up the clubhouse afterwards
