ERRFC Girls u13's Waterfall Festival At Alton

On Sunday our good friends Alton hosted Trojans, Havant and ourselves for their waterfall event, (which is funny because we were all soaked as if we'd been under a waterfall)

The team today was :
Sophie B, Jas B, Elle B, Lottie P, Poppy C, Sophie P, LolaS, Molly L, Emma F, Abby N , Alexis B, Sophia T and Romilly L

Game 1 v Alton

With Alton having a small squad we lent them some players along with some Trojans and got to it. From the kick off the girls played hard , Alton played with a nice shape most of the game but struggled with our strong rucking and big runners. Lots of tries were scored and not so many conceeded. Conditions were placed on our girls to keep the game enjoyable for all parties. All in all a great team performance setting the tone of the day.

Game 2 v Havant
Havant always bring a big game and today was no different. Strong runners and crash ball were the order of the day and the first half was testing for our girls conceeding several tries. The 2nd half was a different story though , after the break EERFC came out swinging and competed better at the breakdowns , completed tackles and scored tries. It wasn't a win by final whistle but a gutsy 2nd half done them proud.

Game 3 v Trojans
Trojans and us are fairly evenly matched teams which made for a very nice game of rugby. The girls wasted no time in getting the scoreboard ticking over, getting the ball wide and using the wings. Some lovely plays were on display some straight off of the training pitch and some instinctive. Trojans kept coming back at us but couldn't quite find the edge , super rucking and tackling just kept them out. An ERRFC win , but more importantly a good game played in good spirits.

All girls once again done fantastic i would however like to give a special mention to Elle B, Sophia T , Jas B and Romilly L for standing out as key players today and all the girls that helped Alton make a team, without you helping them out they would not be able to play.
