Ellingham & Ringwood Women Make It Two from Two
NC1 South West (East) – 5th October 2025
Full time: ERRFC Women 31 – 12 Drybrook Women
Ellingham & Ringwood Women continued their strong start to the 25/26 NC1 South West (East) campaign with another impressive home win, defeating a physical Drybrook side 31–12 in a contest full of grit, skill, and sharp finishing.
The Ellies started brightly, with Emily showing great pace in the opening minutes, narrowly running herself off the pitch in the process. Momentum built quickly, and on 9 minutes Jaz powered through two defenders to open the scoring. The pack then went to work, Lani applying constant pressure at the breakdown, and Holly V producing crucial turnovers deep in both halves.
The reward came on 24 minutes when Libby broke through the line, pulled up just short, and Holly V followed up to crash over and convert her own try for 12–0. Another slick move before the half saw Paige W sold a perfect dummy and offload to Ellie D under the posts, Holly V added the extras to make it 19–0 before Drybrook finally responded on the stroke of half time taking the half time scale to 19-5.
After the restart, ERRFC’s defence stood tall with more key turnovers from Holly V, Maria, and EB making an instant impact. On 55th minute, the backs executed textbook “hands through” play, sending Ferne down the wing for a well-worked try. The bonus came late on when Paige produced an outrageous solo effort under the posts, converted by Holly V to extend the lead to 31–5.
Drybrook added a late consolation, but the Elli’s finished deserved 31–12 winners—showing composure, teamwork, and growing confidence across the park.
