The first half saw both teams camping out on each other’s 22 yard line with both sides showing their strong defence. Throughout the game Andover dominated the scrum showing a well-trained tight pack. An early chance with a penalty kick was missed by Andover, however a further penalty lead to Andover scoring the first try of the game. A missed conversion left Ringwood hungry for an equalizer and eight minutes before half time Ringwood were rewarded with a strong drive and try from Adam Kalim.
Andover continued to capitalize on their dominance of the scrum with an early try and conversion in the second half. Another penalty kick and two tries increased Andover’s lead however thanks to the post both conversions were missed. Ringwood’s hard work and heads up attitude was rewarded at the end of the second half with a long run from Ben Mortimer with Aaron Moritzen in support giving Aaron a try in the last minutes of the game.
