The Ellingham and Ringwood u15 girls got back into action in 2016 in style by winning a tough a competitive match away at Camberley.
Missing two of their county players, Thea Larkin and Amber Sallows, who were away at Divisional trials, the remaining team members stuck at their task in difficult conditions to eventually subdue a spirited Camberley team 53-17. The match was very tough, particularly in the forwards where Lara was especially impressive at the breakdown. However, the extra quality that Ellingham had in the backs eventually told as the half back pairing of Alicia 'stumpy' Maude at 9 and Georgia Lang at 10 began to carve out regular opportunities. Both scored tries themselves and Georgia converted 4 of these. Olivia was also prevalent in the backs scoring a brace and special mention goes to Lydia Young who made an impressive debut on the wing. The try scoring for Ellingham was completed with the last action of the game when Phoebe Jones went over under the posts following an excellent move involving strong contributions from Amber Collins and Leah Rogers in the build up.
I was a cold and bitter day, at one point it started to snow but well done to all and thanks to all you parent's that supported the girls.
