Our women's side put in a magnificent performance on Sunday to go back to the top of their league. This was always going to be a difficult fixture with such a long journey and a number of key players being unavailable as a result of this, but we settled quickly and took the lead when Charlotte West crashed over after five minutes. The home side came back strongly and their full back finished off a good move with a try in the corner to level the score. We then took the lead again through Abbie Awdas, but their full back then scored again to draw the scores level. However, our forward dominance was beginning to show and we scored a further two tries before half time that were both converted by Samie Nichols to give us a 24-10 lead at the break.
In the second half we were able to dominate the game and scored a further five tries through Abbie Awdas, Paige Darvill-White, Kat Govier, Nina Hoadley and Amy Shipley. Samie Nichols also kicked a further two conversions.
